When I decided to bring this story to the attention of the SACSTW community, I was kind of stumped. I really couldn't come up with a snarky, ridiculous spin on it, and didn't know why. Then it hit me....this story is really so inane and ludicrous on its own that it defies embellishment. So here it is.....
Wondering what you are going to do with all those toasters after your nuptials this summer? Have no fear, the Obama 2012 campaign has the solution. Instead of you and your intended registering for gifts at Macy's,
Saks, or Dollar General, ask your invited guests for what you really want.....4 more years of the Obama administration.
The most powerful man in the world wants you to "register" your wedding, birthday, or other gift-giving occasion at his website and solicit donations to the campaign from your friends and family. If you go here, you will see this:
Register with Obama 2012
Got a special milestone or event coming up?
Instead of another gift card you’ll forget to use, ask your friends and family for something that will go a little further: a donation to Obama for America. Register your next celebration—whether it’s a birthday, bar or bat mitzvah, wedding, or anniversary—with the Obama campaign. It’s a great way to show your support for a cause that’s important to you on your big day.

The manner in which this man has degraded and defiled the office of the President of the United States gets more pathetic and contemptible every day. Remember, this is the same guy who wanted you to give him email addresses of your conservative friends so he could fill up their inbox with childish spam.
Look, if you like this concept that is great. Just ask your guests to do something that is really worthwhile with their money. Suggest a beneficiary like The Rotary Foundation, ShelterBox, or Big Brothers Big Sisters. Any of those groups can do more good with $1 than Barack Obama has been able to do with trillions.
